Maribeth Keane - Pushing Air

    • In the beginning of 2011 I packed up the car in California and headed to the southern United States. Without much of a plan, I landed in Memphis, Tennessee and ended up staying for 7 months. During those 7 months I spent most days driving through the parts of the city people had warned me about going to. Pushing Air developed as a way for me to relate to a city I felt completely foreign in. I gained a perspective that many of the locals I talked to chose to ignore.
